Who is DynaRisk? Why should I trust them?

DynaRisk is a Cyber Security and Risk Management company that creates cybersecurity software tools. DynaRisk is focused on bringing simple and accessible cybersecurity tools to the insurance industry. DynaRisk has supported thousands of businesses and hundreds of thousands of consumers worldwide since 2016.

REIX has partnered with DynaRisk to create the Cyber Shield program to offer our subscribers customized protection against cyber-attacks. This program was designed by REIX and a team of experts specifically to help our subscribers.

What is the benefit of the online portal and assessment tool?

The Cyber Shield online portal and assessment tool is an accessible way to manage your risk on a regular basis. There is a question process that allows the program to provide the right guidance based on your current practices. The portal collects information in order to calculate your cyber risk and generate a Cyber Security Score. If needed, the portal can then provide a personalized action plan to increase your Cyber Security Score.

The portal provides a simple way for our subscribers to decrease their cyber risk on their own time, using personalized recommendations. It also allows the Cyber Security program to perform routine scans and notify you of any breaches.

What is included in the insurance policy? How am I covered?

Through Cyber Shield, all REIX subscribers have immediate access to expert cyber advice, support, resources, and information, from personalized cyber scans to a 24/7 helpline. Cyber insurance coverage is also provided free of charge to individual real estate agents through the program. 

Cyber Shield’s support is available to individual subscribers whether they have a commercial cyber policy or not. Cyber Shield and commercial cyber insurance purchased by some brokerages are two distinct and separate policies that cover different risks.

Almost all internet connections have a firewall built in to prevent people from freely accessing your home or business network, or worse, your computer’s files.  You most likely already have this in place, but we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the key piece of security equipment.

Endpoint Protection (a.k.a. anti-virus)

An up-to-date endpoint protection software is key to keeping your PC safe from viruses – it’s simple to install and may already have it included free with your computer (e.g. Windows Defender). It scans files, emails, and more to make sure nasty viruses and code to infect your PC.

Security and Privacy Liability

Provides coverage, including legal expenses and damages, for any claim made against you for any actual or alleged breach of privacy, damage to the computers or systems others, unauthorized disclosure of data, and more, arising out of your professional services.

Data Recovery and Loss of Business Income

a) Pays for the expenses related to investigate, repair, and manage a cyber event, including but not limited to: damage and interruption by a computer virus or malicious code, accidental damage or destruction of data, and malfunctions.

b) Reimburses you for lost income as a result of a cyber event – subject to an 8 hour waiting period.
